Hypoglycemia common in hospice patients with type 2 diabetes

KEY POINT

Approximately 12% of hospice patients with type 2 diabetes experienced hypoglycemia, and 5% of these patients experienced severe hypoglycemia, with the highest rates observed in patients receiving insulin therapy, according to results of a retrospective study published in JAMA Internal Medicine.
