Broader statin use reduces the risk of more cardiovascular events
KEY POINT
When statin guidelines recommend use for primary prevention in a broader patient population, more atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) events are prevented, according to a comparison of five major guidelines published in the Annals of Internal Medicine.
