Continuing statins after adverse reactions results in better outcomes

KEY POINT

In patients who experienced an adverse reaction to their statin therapy, continuing treatment resulted in fewer cardiovascular (CV) events and deaths compared with patients who stopped treatment, according to a large retrospective cohort study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine.
