Statin intolerance increases risk of recurrent cardiac events

KEY POINT

Statin intolerance in patients who have had a myocardial infarction (MI) resulted in an increased risk of recurrent MIs and coronary heart disease (CHD) events compared with patients who were adherent to their statin therapy, according to a retrospective analysis published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
