HIV regimens are associated with neural tube defects

KEY POINT

The prevalence of neural tube defects (NTD) was slightly higher with use of antiretroviral (ART) regimens containing dolutegravir (Tivicay—ViiV) than with nondolutegravir regimens, according to results of a birth-outcomes surveillance study published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
