Stopping statins in older patients may result in increased CV risk


Stopping statins used by older patients for primary prevention was associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular (CV) adverse events such as coronary, cerebrovascular, and other vascular events, according to results of an observational study published in the European Heart Journal.
