Vitamin D does not decrease osteoarthritis knee pain, cartilage loss at 2 years

KEY POINT

In patients with symptomatic knee osteoarthritis (OA), vitamin D supplementation for 2 years at doses needed to achieve 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels of 36 ng/mL did not decrease knee pain or cartilage volume loss as compared to placebo.
