PPI–clopidogrel interaction a concern after stent placement
KEY POINT
Concomitant use of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and clopidogrel in patients with diabetes who received a drug-eluting stent was associated with an increased risk of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) compared with use of clopidogrel alone, according to results of a large nationwide cohort study.
