Step-down therapy in patients with well-controlled asthma appears to be safe and cost effective


Patients with asthma whose symptoms are controlled can step down asthma medications safely without compromising clinical outcomes, thereby saving on monthly medication costs, according to results of an observational study published in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
