Do statins affect the body’s response to vaccination?

KEY POINT

Use of statins may reduce the body’s response to influenza vaccination, as measured by antibody concentration, which could reduce vaccine effectiveness against acute respiratory illnesses, according to results of two exploratory analyses published online in the Journal of Infectious Diseases.
