USPSTF releases recommendations on statin use for primary prevention of CVD

KEY POINT

In November 2016, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) released a recommendation statement on statin use for primary prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in adults aged 40 years and older without prior cardiovascular (CV) events.
