Many people have CYP gene variations associated with severe drug interactions

KEY POINT

A retrospective analysis of more than 22,000 patients who underwent pharmacogenetic testing for polymorphisms of five cytochrome (CYP) isoenzymes showed that the majority of patients had multiple risk-associated phenotypes, which may result in severe interactions.
