Combination therapy resulted in the best outcomes in patients with rheumatoid arthritis

KEY POINT

In patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who were initiating a tumor necrosis factor inhibitor (TNFi) for the first time, use of methotrexate (MTX) in combination with a TNFi resulted in improved effectiveness compared with TNFi monotherapy or other disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) combinations with TNFi agents.
